St Bernadette’s is a single form entry school so all children are taught within one year group. The school has been extensively refurbished over recent years. As well as clean, well-decorated and well-resourced classrooms.
Foundation Stage children (aged 3 to 5) are taught in a purpose built Foundation Stage Unit. Key Stage 1 and 2 children are taught in National Curriculum year groupings.
Networked computer workstations in each classroom compliment the mobile IT suites. Each room is equipped with a Promethean ActivBoard.
The school is extremely well-staffed. Each class has at least one Classroom Assistant – some have many more.
The teaching staff are expert and dedicated. Specialist staff who do not have a full-time teaching commitment include a SENCo, Pastoral Support Teacher and Reading Intervention Teacher.
