Local Authority Associate Partnership

At St. Bernadette’s Catholic Primary School we are Associate Partners for Early Years teaching and learning. Through the Stockport LA Associate Partnership, we are able to provide support to Early Years practitioners in other schools and settings across Stockport.

We regularly offer learning walks and share our good practice on engaging parents, Literacy through the Magic Story Box ‘narrative immersion’ curriculum and our Early Years Leader regularly provides support to other schools and settings in developing their learning environments.

We have taken the lead on establishing a Brinnington cluster to ensure that good practice is shared amongst the other schools and settings in the area. We meet at least termly as a cluster and focus on an area to drive improvement. We have recently been working on developing the transition, communication and language and physical development skills. From this our Early Years Leader plans for CPD for the different settings and schools in the cluster.
