Classrooms

St Bernadette’s is a single form entry school so all children are taught within one year group. The school has been extensively refurbished over recent years and is proud of its clean, well-decorated and well-resourced classrooms.

Foundation Stage children (aged 3 to 5) are taught in a purpose built Foundation Stage Unit. Key Stage 1 and 2 children are taught in National Curriculum year groupings. We are also proud to have a resource-based classroom called 'Acorns' to support our children with complex needs.

The school is extremely well-staffed. Each class has at least one Classroom Assistant – some have many more.

The teaching staff are expert and dedicated. Specialist staff who do not have a full-time teaching commitment include a SENDCo/Pastoral Support Teacher.
