Good Behaviour
Here at St Bernadette’s we pride ourselves on how the children quickly develop a sense of pride and self-discipline good behaviour.
We want the school to be a calm and peaceful place where learning can take place in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere, where all children have to be attentive to the rules we have in place as a school community.
School rules are to be seen around the school to remind everybody of how we should be trying to behave.
Each class has their own special rules. Children will know something will happen if they do not act in a St Bernadette’s fashion. This could range from a talk with the teacher, loss of privileges and so on to the involvement of the parents and headteacher.
We celebrate good behaviour in assemblies and in each classroom. Stickers, certificates and recognition in the school scrapbook all go to emphasise how much we value examples of good behaviour.
